Memory 7
Memory: Neutral Significant - Having eye replaced
Regained: Day 26, Rejoice (It's Your Teammate In A Box)
Form: Lilac-colored carnation. Sniff to use. (uses: 3/4 remain)

Contents: Now that she was a squire, Neferti felt she was no longer a child. Her grandfather had repeatedly tried to have her remove her bad eye, but she was frightened of such things. It was, she felt, still a reasonable fear. But her grandfather had passed away, and she was no longer a child. It was time to put such fears away, and remove what parts of her could hamper her effectiveness. She had cut off all her hair after his death, this was the same.

But, she thought, why just remove it? Her eye could not be healed, but perhaps it could be replaced. It was expensive, but she had no shortage of money; her grandfather had left her everything he had. There was magitech for all sorts of possible replacements. In the end, she settled for something simple: Something that could link up with her normal vision and see the flow of magic. It was a strange choice, she was told, but she disagreed. If she was going to be a knight, being able to see magical threats and track them would be an invaluable skill to have.

As the time to have the eye removed came closer, Neferti felt more and more ill at ease. She contemplated many times simply canceling it, an keeping on in her current way. But each time she really considered it, she shook her head and looked at her sword- Her grandfather's sword. She was no longer a child. She had to face her fear. She had grown, and she was resolved to become a knight who would not give in to fear, just like her grandfather.

When it was finally done, she stared at it in the mirror, flicking its special vision on and off with her will, examining it from every angle. It was strange, what had always been bloody red replaced by a blank blue, but she didn't mind. It was striking, she felt, and a perfect symbol.

Effects: Right now, thanks to FEELINGS, all it will do is tell her how to use her eye. If she gets over her current mess, not much will change, but she will become more resolved to POWER ON THROUGH FEAR. She's also learned that, hey, magitech that replaces eyes are not weird at all.
